Klitsa Antoniou (Cyprus)

Klitsa Antoniou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Design at Frederick Institute of Technology. She joined the faculty in 1993. Prior to her appointment, Antoniou was teaching Fine Arts at Pratt Institute in New York and was also a practicing artist. Antoniou studied Fine Arts at Wimbledon School of Art: Foundation, at Central St. Martins School of Art and Design London: BFA, at Pratt Institute New York: MFA, and New York University: Doctorate Program in Art and Art Professions. She has also attended a number of important workshops with world known instructors such as Yiannis Kounellis and Alfredo Pirri. She was selected to participate in a number of symposia in both Europe and China and was awarded several prizes and scholarships including the Fulbright Award. She has ten solo exhibitions in both Cyprus and abroad. Her latest two are at Eastlink Gallery in Shanghai in 2005 and Stoa Cultural Center of Eastern Helsinki in 2006.
