Rolling Snowball / 8 - Homecoming

Titled "Homecoming", the 8th edition of "Rolling Snowball" discusses the form of existence and aesthetic significance of the concepts of home and returning home, exploring the aesthetics of "elsewhere". 

 

This exhibition presents 46 artists from The Netherlands and China, among who two are part of the Hafnia Foundation collection: 

Scarlett Hooft Graafland and Sigurdur Gudmundsson

The Three Shadows Xiamen Photography Art Centre is situated in Xiamen’s Xinglin Wan, Jimei new city. By hosting high-quality contemporary photography exhibitions domestically and internationally, educational programming, and activities like the Jimei·Arles International Photography Exhibition, it will become a leading force in the development of contemporary photographic art in southern China.

The Chinese European Art Center (CEAC) in Xiamen was co-founded in 1999 by Mrs. Ineke Gudmundsson together and Professor Qin Jian from Xiamen Univeristy Art College. From the past 18 years, the Chinese European Art Center has hosted and premiered international artists from all over the world. With studios, exhibitions, contemporary film festivals, concerts, lectures, workshops and its core Artists - in - Residence program, CEAC plays a central role in southeast China’s cultural landscape. Since 2010 large-scale group exhibitions titled the “Rolling Snowball” series have been held in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Quanzhou and in Djupivogur, Iceland.
